A gem of Greece – Sarti and Halkidiki

Just an hour and a half southeast of Thessaloniki lies Halkidiki, a peninsula with three “fingers”. The western one Kassandra, the eastern one Agion Oros, with its monasteries and the impressive Mount Athos, and the middle one Sithonia.

The little town of Sarti is located on Sithonia, overlooking the ocean to the west to Mount Athos.

Oli has been living in Sarti, working as a mountain biking guide, PADI dive master and tourist guide and can show you the nicest beaches, the best restaurants for authentic Greek food as well as amazing hiking and mountain biking trails. He will take you all around Sithonia.

At the Goa Bar you will get to experience nights of fun with great music and a view of Mt Athos at night, coming out of the ocean like a big pyramids.

Best time to visit: April – October (The spring months from April till June are already nice and warm, the summers aregetting very hot, while the fall lasts till the middle of October!)

Stopover in Munich / Frankfurt on the way to Greece possible – why not enjoy a couple of days in Munich and the southern part of Bavaria on the way to or from Greece. Oli is originally from Würzburg and has spent a long time in Munich, he even runs trips to the Octoberfest in Munich – so stop over for some fun!
